O trabalho prende-se em particular \u00e0 an\u00e1lise das formas de atribuir sentido ao mundo e \u00e0 mobilidade, na tentativa de explorar a constru\u00e7\u00e3o da viv\u00eancia dos jovens migrantes na rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre mundo global e mundos (g)locais de experi\u00eancia e significado. A perspetiva te\u00f3rica que inspira esta an\u00e1lise situa-se na interse\u00e7\u00e3o entre antropologia, psicologia e estudos migrat\u00f3rios e fundamenta-se no conceito de subjetividade, entendida como forma de orienta\u00e7\u00e3o ao mundo e incorpora\u00e7\u00e3o de normas, estruturas de valor e de significado, hist\u00f3rica e politicamente definidas, que influenciam o imagin\u00e1rio e a representa\u00e7\u00e3o, definindo as maneiras especificas de pensar, agir, falar, sofrer e dar sentido \u00e0 exist\u00eancia. O estudo salienta como a constru\u00e7\u00e3o subjetiva dos jovens p\u00f3s-coloniais e das suas fam\u00edlias \u00e9 orientada por um \u201cdesejo de modernidade e participa\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d de matriz global que choca-se com os processos normativos impostos pela nova disciplina das fronteiras europeia, manifesta nos procedimentos burocr\u00e1ticos e administrativos do chamado \u201cacolhimento\u201d. A combina\u00e7\u00e3o dessas duas din\u00e2micas concorre para produzir a experi\u00eancia de marginalidade e o risco consequente, tamb\u00e9m em termos de \u201cdisponibilidade para ser sancionados\u201d.
