Este artigo associa a forma\u00e7\u00e3o dos profissionais deste campo, com a import\u00e2ncia que estes atribuem \u00e0s respetivas pr\u00e1ticas. A amostra deste estudo \u00e9 constitu\u00edda por 180 profissionais a exercerem nesta \u00e1rea. Os participantes foram interrogados sobre a sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o, atrav\u00e9s do question\u00e1rio \u201cCaracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o dos Profissionais\/Dinamizadores de Programas de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Parental\u201d, e sobre a import\u00e2ncia atribu\u00edda \u00e0s pr\u00e1ticas de qualidade, com recurso ao question\u00e1rio \u201cCompet\u00eancias para o trabalho com os pais\u201d. Os resultados revelam que a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de n\u00edvel avan\u00e7ado constitui um fator relevante na valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o das pr\u00e1ticas de EP, por parte dos profissionais, o que implica a necessidade de uma resposta contingente das institui\u00e7\u00f5es de ensino superior.
