Neste caso, o seu uso enquadra-se na Aprendizagem Baseada na Resolu\u00e7\u00e3o de Problemas (ABRP, do ingl\u00eas, Problem-Based Learning, PBL), que coloca o aluno no centro dos processos de ensino e aprendizagem, atribuindo-lhe um papel ativo na aprendizagem de novo conhecimento. Atendendo \u00e0 influ\u00eancia que os manuais exercem nas pr\u00e1ticas de ensino, a quest\u00e3o que se coloca \u00e9 a de saber em que medida as quest\u00f5es inclu\u00eddas nos manuais escolares de Ci\u00eancias podem fomentar um ensino orientado para a ABRP. Neste texto, descrever-se-\u00e1 o processo de constru\u00e7\u00e3o e valida\u00e7\u00e3o de uma grelha de an\u00e1lise de quest\u00f5es inclu\u00eddas em manuais escolares de Ci\u00eancias com essa finalidade, apresentando-se n\u00e3o s\u00f3 essa grelha, mas tamb\u00e9m, a t\u00edtulo ilustrativo, uma aplica\u00e7\u00e3o da mesma a um t\u00f3pico de Ci\u00eancias, 8\u00ba ano, abordado nas duas disciplinas desta
