Por transnacional refiro-me aos m\u00faltiplos e permanentes la\u00e7os sustentados entre o pa\u00eds de \"origem\" e o pa\u00eds de \"acolhimento\". Uma das consequ\u00eancias desta mudan\u00e7a interpretativa foi a constata\u00e7\u00e3o de que tais la\u00e7os e mobilidades - reais e imaginadas - s\u00e3o frequentemente acompanhados pela constru\u00e7\u00e3o social e simb\u00f3lica de espa\u00e7os de perten\u00e7a, de familiaridade, que se revelam atrav\u00e9s do envio de remessas ou na reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o de discursos identit\u00e1rios, para citar apenas alguns exemplos. Com base num estudo de caso sobre bangladeshianos em Lisboa, realizado em Portugal e no Bangladesh, entre 2003 e 2007, procurarei mostrar como a gest\u00e3o da morte e do morrer revela as dimens\u00f5es rituais da produ\u00e7\u00e3o de lugares em contextos
