Nesta parte, s\u00e3o descritos os principais fatores que influenciam na obten\u00e7\u00e3o da fase anatase como: substrato, processos de deposi\u00e7\u00e3o e tratamento t\u00e9rmico. Nos substratos que apresentam superf\u00edcies \u00e1speras h\u00e1 uma maior efici\u00eancia fotocatal\u00edtica devido a sua maior \u00e1rea de contato. Os processos de deposi\u00e7\u00e3o mais comumente utilizados em superf\u00edcies cer\u00e2micas s\u00e3o: magnetron sputtering, dip coating, spin coating, serigrafia plana, pulveriza\u00e7\u00e3o, incavografia e impress\u00e3o digital. Com rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao tratamento t\u00e9rmico do di\u00f3xido de tit\u00e2nio, em todas as temperaturas e press\u00f5es a fase rutilo \u00e9 a mais est\u00e1vel. A fase anatase \u00e9 metaest\u00e1vel atingindo a estabilidade apenas em temperaturas baixas.
