Educ."],"abstract":"<jats:p>RESUMO Desde o projeto da modernidade, criou-se a expetativa do poder libertador da educa\u00e7\u00e3o, na l\u00f3gica do progresso civilizacional, em que as conquistas da escolariza\u00e7\u00e3o poderiam libertar o sujeito do obscurantismo, da ignor\u00e2ncia e dos poderes pol\u00edticos alienantes. Este artigo reflete sobre o par emancipa\u00e7\u00e3o-retrocesso no \u00e2mbito do discurso educacional contempor\u00e2neo e discute se hoje faz sentido afirmar que a educa\u00e7\u00e3o pode ainda emancipar.
