Buscou-se avaliar a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre os \u00edndices de sucesso educativo normativo e a dimens\u00f5es estrutural de explica\u00e7\u00e3o deste fen\u00f4meno, visando uma explana\u00e7\u00e3o explicativa para o mesmo. A estrat\u00e9gia metodol\u00f3gica utilizada foi estudos do tipo survey realizado junto aos egressos de cursos de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o de uma universidade p\u00fablica federal localizada no interior do Estado da Bahia. A aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de question\u00e1rio ocorreu junto aos egressos do semestre 2014.2, por meio eletr\u00f4nico, resultando numa amostra n\u00e3o probabil\u00edstica acidental contendo 174 casos v\u00e1lidos. Os dados quantitativos foram analisados a partir do software IBM SPSS 23 por meio de estat\u00edsticas descritivas e inferenciais. Registrou-se um elevado percentual de registro de reprova\u00e7\u00f5es na trajet\u00f3ria acad\u00eamica nos primeiros dois anos dos cursos.
