O debate \u00e9 intenso e a multiplicidade de obras publicadas apontam evolu\u00e7\u00f5es complexas e contradit\u00f3rias. Este artigo come\u00e7a por situar os termos mais importantes desse debate. Em seguida, procura dar conta das principais tend\u00eancias do sistema de rela\u00e7\u00f5es laborais portugu\u00eas. Assim, s\u00e3o analisadas quest\u00f5es como a conflitualidade laboral manifesta em greve, a sindicaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e a negocia\u00e7\u00e3o colectiva na sua estrutura e conte\u00fados. Por \u00faltimo, \u00e9 o problema do processo de moderniza\u00e7\u00e3o das empresas das empresas que \u00e9 analisado.
