{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2025,11,6]],"date-time":"2025-11-06T12:06:47Z","timestamp":1762430807235},"reference-count":27,"publisher":"FapUNIFESP (SciELO)","issue":"4","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":["Rev Bras Med Esporte"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2013,8]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>INTRODU\u00c7\u00c3O: Estudos comparando modelos de periodiza\u00e7\u00e3o em sequ\u00eancias de treinamento resistido (TR) realizadas do menor para o maior grupo muscular sobre as altera\u00e7\u00f5es musculares em indiv\u00edduos destreinados em TR s\u00e3o escassos. OBJETIVO: Comparar o efeito da periodiza\u00e7\u00e3o ondulat\u00f3ria (PO) e da periodiza\u00e7\u00e3o linear (PL) sobre a for\u00e7a m\u00e1xima e hipertrofia muscular em uma sequ\u00eancia de execu\u00e7\u00e3o dos exerc\u00edcios dos menores para os maiores grupamentos musculares. M\u00c9TODOS: Vinte e nove homens n\u00e3o experientes em (TR) foram distribu\u00eddos aleatoriamente em tr\u00eas grupos: PO (n =10), PL (n = 13) e grupo controle (GC, n = 9). Os indiv\u00edduos realizaram o teste de uma repeti\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e1xima (1RM) nos exerc\u00edcios rosca b\u00edceps (RB), rosca tr\u00edceps (RT), puxada aberta (PA) e supino reto (SR), contra\u00e7\u00e3o isom\u00e9trica volunt\u00e1ria m\u00e1xima (CIVM) e espessura muscular (EM) para flexores de cotovelo (FC) e extensores de cotovelo (EC) antes e ap\u00f3s o per\u00edodo de 12 semanas de treinamento. O grupo PO variou o volume e a intensidade do treinamento diariamente, e o grupo PL a cada quatro semanas. O GC n\u00e3o realizou TR. Foi realizada uma ANOVA de dois caminhos com medidas repetidas, e c\u00e1lculo do tamanho do efeito (TE), nas cargas obtidas para analisar o efeito do tratamento sobre as varia\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00e9- e p\u00f3s-per\u00edodo de TR. RESULTADOS: Os principais achados do estudo foram: 1) o grupo PO apresentou maior TE para 1RM dos exerc\u00edcios RT e RB e para EM dos FC e EC quando comparado ao grupo PL; 2) n\u00e3o houve diferen\u00e7a no TE para os exerc\u00edcios SR e PA que finalizavam a sess\u00e3o. CONCLUS\u00c3O: Ambos os modelos de periodiza\u00e7\u00e3o adotados foram eficientes para promover aumentos de for\u00e7a e hipertrofia muscular. Contudo, segundo o c\u00e1lculo do TE, a PO promoveu maior incremento da for\u00e7a m\u00e1xima nos exerc\u00edcios que iniciaram a sess\u00e3o e hipertrofia
