M\u00c9TODOS: Participaram do estudo 12 sujeitos (23,1 \u00b1 2,8 anos), sete homens e cinco mulheres, que foram submetidos a medidas antropom\u00e9tricas de massa corporal, estatura e espessura de dobras cut\u00e2neas. Al\u00e9m disso, os sujeitos realizaram um teste m\u00e1ximo direto (MD) em esteira e tr\u00eas testes de campo para verifica\u00e7\u00e3o do consumo m\u00e1ximo de oxig\u00eanio (VO2m\u00e1x), em valores relativos. Os testes de campo utilizados foram: corrida\/caminhada de 12 minutos de Cooper (COOPER), corrida\/caminhada de uma milha (MILHA) e shuttle run de 20 metros (SR-20m). Os dados foram analisados por procedimentos descritivos e para as compara\u00e7\u00f5es entre a medida direta e cada um dos testes de campo foi utilizado o teste t pareado. A regress\u00e3o linear simples forneceu informa\u00e7\u00f5es quanto ao desempenho dos testes e suas respectivas equa\u00e7\u00f5es, enquanto que a concord\u00e2ncia entre os m\u00e9todos foi feita pela an\u00e1lise de Bland-Altman, com determina\u00e7\u00e3o da tend\u00eancia de medida. RESULTADOS: N\u00e3o foram encontradas diferen\u00e7as significantes entre o MD e os tr\u00eas testes de campo. Os erros padr\u00e3o de estimativa variaram de aproximadamente 5,8 a 6,0 ml.kg-1.min-1, e as correla\u00e7\u00f5es de r = 0,61 - 0,64. Os limites de concord\u00e2ncia foram considerados amplos para os tr\u00eas testes, por\u00e9m sem vi\u00e9s e tend\u00eancia de estimativa. CONCLUS\u00c3O: Apesar da similaridade entre os valores m\u00e9dios obtidos nas compara\u00e7\u00f5es entre os testes de campo e a medida de refer\u00eancia, o teste da MILHA foi o que apresentou melhores resultados de desempenho e concord\u00e2ncia para a estimativa do
