Pesqui."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2015,12]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Resumo As orienta\u00e7\u00f5es de pol\u00edtica educativa de \u00e2mbito global t\u00eam colocado no centro das suas prioridades a promo\u00e7\u00e3o da excel\u00eancia, da qualidade e da efic\u00e1cia dos sistemas de ensino e forma\u00e7\u00e3o. Este texto prop\u00f5e-se a debater o impacto dessa agenda na realidade educativa portuguesa a partir de um olhar sobre a pol\u00edtica em estado pr\u00e1tico, isto \u00e9, sobre os mecanismos de apropria\u00e7\u00e3o ocorridos no espa\u00e7o organizacional e sua articula\u00e7\u00e3o com as especificidades culturais da escola. \u00c0 luz desse enfoque, pretende-se compreender de que forma a cultura de escola redefine localmente a sua miss\u00e3o educativa, ajustando-a aos prop\u00f3sitos democr\u00e1ticos e igualit\u00e1rios e\/ou \u00e0s exig\u00eancias de promo\u00e7\u00e3o da excel\u00eancia e do m\u00e9rito. Partindo da hip\u00f3tese de que as dimens\u00f5es culturais exercem um papel central na recontextualiza\u00e7\u00e3o das pol\u00edticas educativas, procurou-se identificar, no sistema educativo portugu\u00eas, o alcance de um dos rituais mais expressivos da miss\u00e3o da escola: os rituais de distin\u00e7\u00e3o dos melhores alunos. Da an\u00e1lise de conte\u00fado efetuada em cerca de 1500 documentos produzidos no contexto das escolas p\u00fablicas com ensino secund\u00e1rio, resultou um mapeamento nacional dos rituais de distin\u00e7\u00e3o. As conclus\u00f5es apontam para uma forte ades\u00e3o das institui\u00e7\u00f5es com ensino secund\u00e1rio aos rituais de distin\u00e7\u00e3o ou de reconhecimento p\u00fablico do m\u00e9rito.
