Pesqui."],"abstract":"<jats:p>Resumo A concretiza\u00e7\u00e3o do princ\u00edpio de uma educa\u00e7\u00e3o democr\u00e1tica fundada na igualdade de oportunidades de sucesso para todos tem justificado discursos pol\u00edticos que, referindo-se \u00e0 autonomia das escolas e dos professores, reconhecem a import\u00e2ncia do seu papel na constru\u00e7\u00e3o de pr\u00e1ticas curriculares adequadas aos diferentes contextos e caracter\u00edsticas dos alunos. No caso dos professores, essa autonomia est\u00e1 associada ao conceito de ag\u00eancia e remete a seu papel ativo, em contexto escolar, na defini\u00e7\u00e3o e condu\u00e7\u00e3o dos processos curriculares. Tendo essa perspectiva por refer\u00eancia, este artigo analisa possibilidades e dificuldades que se apresentam aos professores que, diariamente, procuram percorrer os corredores de liberdade curricular e pedag\u00f3gica. Para isso, foi realizado um estudo que recolheu e analisou discursos de professores de escolas bem colocadas no ranking nacional portugu\u00eas sobre as suas pr\u00e1ticas curriculares quotidianas, particularmente no que os motiva para o recurso a pr\u00e1ticas de contextualiza\u00e7\u00e3o e a factores que influenciam ou impedem o seu desenvolvimento. Conclui-se que a autonomia docente, apesar de presente em orienta\u00e7\u00f5es pol\u00edticas, concorre com outras imposi\u00e7\u00f5es externas que deixam pouco espa\u00e7o aos professores para desenvolverem pr\u00e1ticas curriculares que adequem o curr\u00edculo prescrito a n\u00edvel nacional aos contextos escolares reais. Conclui-se igualmente que, apesar das circunst\u00e2ncias e condicionantes existentes, os professores ouvidos neste estudo procuram espa\u00e7os e momentos para percorrer os, por vezes estreitos, corredores de
