It is noted that continuous and active development of the mining industry within Kryvyi Rih iron ore basin during 150 years has led to the formation of a unique structure of the landscape technical system. Its formation took place unevenly in space and time, which made it possible to identify and justify three stages of development: artisanal, initial industrial and active industrial one.
