A vis\u00e3o hol\u00edstica do Sistema Terra na educa\u00e7\u00e3o em ci\u00eancias potencializa a perce\u00e7\u00e3o do papel do Homem nos ecossistemas e promove a consci\u00eancia ambiental imprescind\u00edvel ao desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel. Este trabalho \u00e9 um recurso did\u00e1tico para discuss\u00e3o e reflex\u00e3o orientada no ensino das Ci\u00eancias Naturais (8.\u00ba ano do 3.\u00ba ciclo do Ensino B\u00e1sico) e da Biologia e Geologia (10.\u00ba ano do Ensino Secund\u00e1rio), segundo o curr\u00edculo portugu\u00eas. A abordagem inovadora do Sistema Terra afasta-se da tradicional perspetiva centrada em uma interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o redutora do planeta.
