F\u00eds."],"abstract":"<jats:p>INTRODU\u00c7\u00c3O: O consumo de alimentos ultraprocessados (AUP) aumenta o risco para o desenvolvimento da obesidade, contudo, ainda n\u00e3o foi quantificado tamanho e impacto desse risco.\u00a0 OBJETIVO: Determinar a magnitude do consumo de AUP na transi\u00e7\u00e3o do estado nutricional de sobrepeso para a obesidade. M\u00c9TODOS: Este estudo observacional foi conduzido a partir de dados de 15.024 adultos dos 18 aos 59 anos (Mulheres: 56%), do projeto Vigil\u00e2ncia de Fatores de Risco e Prote\u00e7\u00e3o para Doen\u00e7as Cr\u00f4nicas por Inqu\u00e9rito Telef\u00f4nico (VIGITEL) de 2019. O estado nutricional foi determinado mediante o \u00edndice de massa corporal (IMC). Valores de IMC entre 25 e 29.99 kg\/m2 classificaram sobrepeso (n=9618) e quando \u226530kg\/m2, era considerada a obesidade (n=5406). O consumo de AUP foi considerado baixo (&lt;9 unidades\/dia) ou elevado (\u226510 unidades\/dia). Os fatores de risco: idade, sexo, escolaridade, consumo &lt;9 alimentos minimamente processados (AMP), inatividade f\u00edsica (\u2264150 min\/semana de intensidade moderada a vigorosa), horas de tela por dia, consumo de \u00e1lcool (sim\/n\u00e3o), consumo semanal de tabaco (n\u00ba de cigarros\/semana), press\u00e3o arterial elevada (sist\u00f3lica &gt;120mm\/Hg e\/ou diast\u00f3lica &gt;80mm\/Hg) e hiperglicemia (\u2265126mg\/dL) foram introduzidos no modelo de regress\u00e3o log\u00edstica bin\u00e1ria para o c\u00e1lculo das raz\u00f5es de chance (Odds Ratio [OR]). RESULTADOS: O consumo de \u226510 AUP aumentou em 37% a probabilidade de ocorr\u00eancia de obesidade, independentemente dos demais fatores de risco: inatividade f\u00edsica (OR=+26,1%), tempo de tela (OR=+6,5%), consumo de \u226510 AMP (OR=-59%), aus\u00eancia de n\u00edveis press\u00f3ricos elevados (OR=-52,6%), de hiperglicemia (OR=-29,6%) e maior escolaridade (OR=-2,1%).
