This method enables the direct tuning of controller parameters using only input-output data without requiring plant identification. In several conventional studies, data-driven control was expanded to a two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) control system to consider responsiveness and robustness. The purpose of this study is to improve both the disturbance and setpoint responses in 2DOF control systems with one-shot controller tuning. An optimal controller satisfying the desired performance was directly obtained by specifying the stability margin as a constraint condition. The frequency characteristics of the plant were estimated using input-output data to confirm that the condition was fulfilled. Finally, a numerical example was presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.20965\/jrm.2026.p0299","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2026,2,19]],"date-time":"2026-02-19T15:02:07Z","timestamp":1771513327000},"page":"299-306","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Data-Driven Design for a Two-Degree-of-Freedom Control Systems Based on a Specified Stability Margin"],"prefix":"10.20965","volume":"38","author":[{"given":"Natsuki","family":"Kawaguchi","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Graduate School of Engineering, University of Hyogo, 2167 Shosha, Himeji, Hyogo 671-2280, Japan"}]},{"name":"Editorial Office","sequence":"first","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Sae","family":"Fujita","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Graduate School of Engineering, University of Hyogo, 2167 Shosha, Himeji, Hyogo 671-2280, Japan"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-0590-3594","authenticated-orcid":true,"given":"Takao","family":"Sato","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Graduate School of Engineering, University of Hyogo, 2167 Shosha, Himeji, Hyogo 671-2280, Japan"}]}],"member":"8550","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2026,2,20]]},"reference":[{"key":"key-10.20965\/jrm.2026.p0299-1","unstructured":"O.
