Thus, this study aims to analyze international publications ranking with high scientific metrics (Q1 and Q2) on the lean methodology in healthcare, during the years.\nThe study employs a systematic literature review, utilizing scientific databases to gather relevant articles and applying bibliometric analysis to assess scientific performance, collaborations, research specialties, and themes in the field of Lean in healthcare. The final sample comprises 103 articles after applying exclusion criteria. Quantitative bibliometric analysis is conducted using R-Studio.\nThe findings suggest that, despite the challenges, Lean offers a viable pathway to improving operational efficiency and service quality in healthcare institutions with limited resources. The review emphasizes that successful Lean implementation in healthcare requires not only adopting specific tools and techniques but also cultivating an organizational culture supportive of continuous improvement. Organizational commitment, effective leadership, and integration of technology are critical for sustaining improvements. Moreover, the research advocates for future studies focusing on adapting Lean methodology to specific healthcare sub-sectors, evaluating long-term sustainability, and examining the role of cultural adaptation in diverse healthcare settings.\nThe study contributes valuable insights into Lean's potential to enhance healthcare services and offers recommendations for successful adoption.
