A cross-sectional survey of 339 practitioners from Greece, China, and Italy assessed perceived improvements across physical, psychological, social, and environmental domains. To quantify participant responses across the different QoL domains into a single interpretable index, thus study proposes a novel composite QoL index, developed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Weighted Composite Scoring. Moreover, the Response Consistency Index (ReCoIn) is introduced as a metric for evaluating internal consistency across domains. Specifically, PCA was used to reduce dimensionality and identify global QoL components. Weighted Composite Scoring then transformed these components into standardized QoL scores (scaled 0–100). Machine learning (Random Forest regression) was applied to validate the predictive accuracy and robustness of the composite scores. Finally, Chi-square tests were conducted to examine statistically significant differences across participant subgroups defined by practice experience, gender, and nationality. All analytical consistently supported that Taijiquan practice significantly enhances multiple dimensions of QoL and contributes to a measurable improvement in practitioners’ overall well-being. When combining all analyses into a single global index, the QoL score for the 339 participants was 3.215, indicating a moderate to major improvement on a scale ranging from −5 (major deterioration) to +5 (major improvement), with 0 representing no change. The ReCoIn showed an average score of 46.9 on a 0–100 scale, indicating substantial variability in individual response patterns, supporting the view that Taijiquan practice could provide the greatest benefit in the domains where each practitioner needs it the most. Chi-square analyses revealed significant differences by experience, gender, and nationality, highlighting distinct motivational patterns and perceived benefits across subgroups. The study offers valuable cross-cultural insights into how Taijiquan is perceived to enhance QoL. Moreover, the proposed composite index and ReCoIn provide quantitative tools that can support the standardization, comparison, and monitoring of mind-body practices within public health intervention settings.
[[2026,3,3
["Measuring the Impact of Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan) on Quality of Life: A Holistic, Cross-Cultural Study
[[2026,3,3
[[2026
[[2026
preprint"}}
