Its principal scientific contribution is to connect EU enlargement policy with fields often analysed separately: hybrid-threat governance and migration instrumentalisation; constitutional justice and judicial interpretation; GDPR alignment; corporate, labour and financial regulation; competition, consumer and energy law; and gender equality, juvenile justice and cultural heritage. Combining doctrinal and comparative legal analysis, policy and institutional assessment, case studies and socio-historical inquiry, the contributors identify concrete gaps between EU standards and Georgian law and evaluate the mechanisms through which substantive convergence can occur. The volume demonstrates that sustainable accession depends not only on formal adoption of the EU acquis, but also on enforceability, mutual resilience, fundamental-rights protection, economic capacity and social inclusion.
