{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2024,7,28]],"date-time":"2024-07-28T15:16:48Z","timestamp":1722179808474},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"Bentham Science Publishers Ltd.","issue":"6","content-domain":{"domain":["eurekaselect.com"],"crossmark-restriction":true},"short-container-title":["ACAMC"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2018,11,12]]},"abstract":"<jats:sec>\n<jats:title \/>\n<jats:p>Aims: Oncology treatments aim at selective toxicity for tumor (compared to normal) cells, and chromone-\ncoumarin hybrids have shown such activity.\n<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec>\n<jats:sec>\n<jats:title>Methods: <\/jats:title>\n<jats:p>In this study, we test a novel series of synthetic chromone and coumarin derivatives (1\u20139) for cytotoxic\nactivity against a panel of tumor cell lines (MCF-7, A549, HepG2, HTC-116, B16 and Caco-2) opposed to\nnon-tumor cells (HEK-293t). Electrical impedance spectroscopy was used to monitor cell viability in real time.\n<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec>\n<jats:sec>\n<jats:title>Results:<\/jats:title>\n<jats:p> Compound 8 showed the most potent activity, and it significantly diminished cancer cell proliferation\nand viability in different cell lines.
