{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2024,11,5]],"date-time":"2024-11-05T05:08:00Z","timestamp":1730783280754,"version":"3.28.0"},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"Universidade do Porto, Faculdade de Letras","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":["Portugalia"],"abstract":"<jats:p>This  text  aims  to  contribute  to  the  understanding  of  the  Chalcolithic  walled  enclosure  of  Castanheiro do Vento (Horta do Douro, Vila Nova de Foz C\u00f4a) as a place forged in a profuse network  of  practices,  from  which  territories  and  landscapes  were  activated.  To  this  end,  it  analyses  its  relationship  with  the  surrounding  watercourses,  as  well  as  the  remains  of  ichthyofauna  recovered  during  excavation.  By  demonstrating  the  importance  of  the  Douro,  Torto  and  Teja  rivers  valleys  in  the  network  of  places  where  the  enclosureis  located,  we  discuss how the occurrence of barbel and shad\/save allows us to deepen our knowledge of this  network.
