It\u2019s located in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz C\u00f4a, district of Guarda and has been investigated by a vast team. With this paper, we intend to present some reflections on how to build in Castanheiro do Vento and share some ideas on the relationship between doing architecture on the site and the idea of architecting a larger space, a territory. If we accept that building is a way of being in the world, architecture will always have connections to that world and consequently to its organization. It is important to bear in mind that during recent prehistory, the landscape of the Alto Douro was being changed by communities in the process of consolidating an agro-pastoral system. This territorialization process led to a diversified occupation of the landscape.
