Drawing insights from the digital health surge during the COVID-19 pandemic and recent heat-related health impacts, we identify response gaps and suggest specific strategies to strengthen current plans. Key recommendations include leveraging mobile health communication, expanding telemedicine usage, adopting wearable health monitoring devices, and using advanced data analytics to improve responsiveness and equity. This perspective aims to guide policymakers, health authorities, and health care providers in systematically enhancing heat-health preparedness through digital health innovation.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.2196\/66361","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,6,20]],"date-time":"2025-06-20T03:25:07Z","timestamp":1750389907000},"page":"e66361-e66361","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Cool Solutions in Hot Times: The Case for Digital Health in Heatwave Action Plans"],"prefix":"10.2196","volume":"17","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-3052-8183","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Maria Daniel","family":"Loureiro","sequence":"first","affiliation":[]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-8039-6839","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Neil","family":"Jennings","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-1343-3916","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Emma","family":"Lawrance","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-0390-9944","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Daniela","family":"Ferreira-Santos","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-7107-7211","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Ana Lu\u00edsa","family":"Neves","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"1010","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2025,9,5]]},"reference":[{"key":"R1","unstructured":"World Meteorological Organization.
