Here, we demonstrate how evolution dimensions, in addition to time, can emerge naturally from a geometric formalism. Specifically, in this formalism, Hamiltonians can be interpreted as a Christoffel symbol-like operators, and the Schroedinger equation as a parallel transport in this formalism. We then derive the evolution equations for the states and metrics along the emergent dimensions and find that the curvature of the Hilbert space bundle for any given closed system is locally flat. Finally, we show that the fidelity susceptibilities and the Berry curvatures of states are related to these emergent parallel transports.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.22331\/q-2024-03-13-1277","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2024,3,13]],"date-time":"2024-03-13T11:15:34Z","timestamp":1710328534000},"page":"1277","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.22331\/q-crossmark-policy-page","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":17,"title":["Emergent parallel transport and curvature in Hermitian and non-Hermitian quantum mechanics"],"prefix":"10.22331","volume":"8","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-7038-3375","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Chia-Yi","family":"Ju","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Physics, National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung 80424, Taiwan"},{"name":"Center for Theoretical and Computational Physics, National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung 80424, Taiwan"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-8222-9268","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Adam","family":"Miranowicz","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Institute of Spintronics and Quantum Information, Faculty of Physics, Adam Mickiewicz University, 61-614 Pozna\u0144, Poland"},{"name":"Theoretical Quantum Physics Laboratory, Cluster for Pioneering Research, RIKEN, Wakoshi, Saitama, 351-0198, Japan"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-2785-7675","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Yueh-Nan","family":"Chen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Physics, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan 70101, Taiwan"},{"name":"Center for Quantum Frontiers of Research & Technology, NCKU, Tainan 70101, Taiwan"},{"name":"Physics Division, National Center for Theoretical Sciences, Taipei 10617, Taiwan"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-0075-6428","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Guang-Yin","family":"Chen","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Physics, National Chung Hsing University, Taichung 40227, Taiwan"}]},{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-3682-7432","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Franco","family":"Nori","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Theoretical Quantum Physics Laboratory, Cluster for Pioneering Research, RIKEN, Wakoshi, Saitama, 351-0198, Japan"},{"name":"Quantum Computing Center, RIKEN, Wakoshi, Saitama, 351-0198, Japan"},{"name":"Physics Department, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1040, USA"}]}],"member":"9598","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2024,3,13]]},"reference":[{"key":"0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","unstructured":"C.
