Here, we calculate analytical expressions for the QFI of nonlinear interferometers under lossy conditions and with coherent-state seeding. We normalize the results based on the number of photons going through the sample that induces a phase shift on the incident quantum state, which eliminates some of the previously declared metrological advantages. We analyze the performance of nonlinear interferometers in a variety of geometries and robustness of the quantum advantage with respect to internal and external loss through direct comparison with a linear interferometer. We find the threshold on the internal loss at which the quantum advantage vanishes, specify when and how much coherent-state seeding optimally counters internal loss, and show that a sufficient amount of squeezing confers to the quantum advantages robustness against external loss and inefficient detection.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.22331\/q-2025-02-04-1619","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,4]],"date-time":"2025-02-04T16:27:04Z","timestamp":1738686424000},"page":"1619","update-policy":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.22331\/q-crossmark-policy-page","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Metrological Advantages in Seeded and Lossy Nonlinear Interferometers"],"prefix":"10.22331","volume":"9","author":[{"given":"Jasper","family":"Kranias","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"National Research Council of Canada, 100 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1N 5A2, Canada"}]},{"given":"Guillaume","family":"Thekkadath","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"National Research Council of Canada, 100 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1N 5A2, Canada"}]},{"given":"Khabat","family":"Heshami","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"National Research Council of Canada, 100 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1N 5A2, Canada"}]},{"given":"Aaron Z.","family":"Goldberg","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"National Research Council of Canada, 100 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1N 5A2, Canada"}]}],"member":"9598","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,4]]},"reference":[{"key":"0","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","unstructured":"Ayman F.
