Such a ZNN model can\n   be constructed by using monotonically-increasing odd activation functions to\n   obtain the theoretical time-varying matrix square roots in an error-free\n   manner. Different choices of activation function arrays may lead to different\n   performance of the ZNN model. Generally speaking, ZNN model using hyperbolic\n   sine activation functions may achieve better performance, as compared with\n   those using other activation functions. In this paper, to pursue the superior\n   convergence and robustness properties, hyperbolic sine activation functions\n   are applied to the ZNN model for online solution of time-varying matrix\n   square roots. Theoretical analysis and computer-simulation results further\n   demonstrate the superior performance of the ZNN model using hyperbolic sine\n   activation functions in the context of large model-implementation errors, in\n   comparison with that using linear activation functions.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.2298\/csis120121043z","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2012,12,28]],"date-time":"2012-12-28T10:31:33Z","timestamp":1356690693000},"page":"1603-1625","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":26,"title":["Superior performance of using hyperbolic sine activation functions in ZNN illustrated via time-varying matrix square roots finding"],"prefix":"10.2298","volume":"9","author":[{"given":"Yunong","family":"Zhang","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Information Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University Guangzhou, Guangdong, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Long","family":"Jin","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Information Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University Guangzhou, Guangdong, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Zhende","family":"Ke","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Information Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University Guangzhou, Guangdong, China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1078","container-title":["Computer Science and Information Systems"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","deposited":{"date-parts":[[2023,5,29]],"date-time":"2023-05-29T08:30:45Z","timestamp":1685349045000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/doiserbia.nb.rs\/Article.aspx?ID=1820-02141200043Z"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2012]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"4","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2012]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.2298\/csis120121043z","relation":{},"ISSN":["1820-0214","2406-1018"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1820-0214","type":"print"},{"value":"2406-1018","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2012]]}}}
