The proponents of such systems have\n   claimed that this kind of inherent \"pedagogical neutrality\" is a desirable\n   characteristic for a LMS, as it allows teachers to implement various\n   pedagogical approaches. This study is based on an opposite approach, arguing\n   for designing next-generation online learning platforms - so called digital\n   learning ecosystems - with built-in affordances, which promote and enforce\n   desirable pedagogical beliefs, strategies and learning activity patterns\n   while suppressing others. We propose a conceptual and process model for\n   pedagogy-driven design of online learning environments and illustrate it with\n   a case study on development and implementation process of a digital learning\n   ecosystem based on Dippler platform. We also describe the pedagogical\n   foundation of Dippler that was guided by a combination of four contemporary\n   pedagogical approaches: self-directed learning, competence-based learning,\n   collaborative knowledge building and task-centered instructional design.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.2298\/csis121204015l","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2014,1,3]],"date-time":"2014-01-03T11:37:09Z","timestamp":1388749029000},"page":"419-442","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":37,"title":["Pedagogy-driven design of digital learning ecosystems"],"prefix":"10.2298","volume":"11","author":[{"ORCID":"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-9853-9965","authenticated-orcid":false,"given":"Mart","family":"Laanpere","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Tallinn University, Institute of Informatics, Tallinn, Estonia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Kai","family":"Pata","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Tallinn University, Institute of Informatics, Tallinn, Estonia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Peeter","family":"Normak","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Tallinn University, Institute of Informatics, Tallinn, Estonia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Hans","family":"P\u00f5ldoja","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Tallinn University, Institute of Informatics, Tallinn, Estonia"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"1078","container-title":["Computer Science and Information Systems"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","deposited":{"date-parts":[[2023,5,29]],"date-time":"2023-05-29T08:31:22Z","timestamp":1685349082000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/doiserbia.nb.rs\/Article.aspx?ID=1820-02141400015L"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2014]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"1","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2014]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.2298\/csis121204015l","relation":{},"ISSN":["1820-0214","2406-1018"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1820-0214","type":"print"},{"value":"2406-1018","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2014]]}}}
