Every definable subgroup is commensurable with an acl(\u00f8)-definable subgroup. Every finitely based regular type in a CM-trivial <jats:italic>\u03c9<\/jats:italic>-categorical simple theory is non-orthogonal to a type of <jats:italic>SU<\/jats:italic>-rank 1.
