Trata-se de uma investiga\u00e7\u00e3o baseada em design na modalidade de experi\u00eancia de ensino na sala de aula. A recolha de dados resultou da observa\u00e7\u00e3o participante, apoiada num di\u00e1rio de bordo, de grava\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e1udio e v\u00eddeo e da recolha das produ\u00e7\u00f5es escritas dos alunos. Os resultados revelam que esta abordagem, partindo da percentagem, permite integrar os conhecimentos num\u00e9ricos pr\u00e9vios intuitivos dos alunos na compreens\u00e3o dos n\u00fameros racionais e apoia a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de uma aprendizagem das diferentes representa\u00e7\u00f5es, de forma interrelacionada, numa perspetiva de desenvolvimento de sentido de n\u00famero.This article aims to figure out the contributions that a trajectory with an initial focus on percentage which leads to the emergence of decimals and later of fractions brings to the understanding of the relational nature of rational numbers. A classroom teaching experiment was developed as a design based research. Data were collected through participant observation, supported by a logbook, audio- and video-recorded lessons and collecting students\u2019 written productions.
