Ciencia Ens."],"abstract":"<jats:p>Resumo A Histo\u0301ria da Cie\u0302ncia tem revelado uma relac\u0327a\u0303o entre Cie\u0302ncia e Religia\u0303o pautada pela complexidade, constatando-se a mudanc\u0327a das fronteiras entre estas duas esferas ao longo dos tempos e afirmando-se a impossibilidade de compreender o modo como se relacionam se desenquadradas dos respetivos contextos histo\u0301ricos sob o risco de se gerarem artificialismos ou anacronismos. A relac\u0327a\u0303o entre Galileu e a Igreja Cato\u0301lica e\u0301, entre outros, um caso exemplificativo. Neste contexto e sabendo-se que esta relac\u0327a\u0303o e\u0301 abordada em livros de literatura infantil e juvenil, emerge a importa\u0302ncia de refletir sobre o modo como estes livros induzem uma visa\u0303o da relac\u0327a\u0303o Cie\u0302ncia-Religia\u0303o. A definic\u0327a\u0303o do objetivo de investigac\u0327a\u0303o \u2013 Identificar o tipo de relac\u0327a\u0303o Cie\u0302ncia- Religia\u0303o veiculada em livros de literatura infantil e juvenil publicados em Portugal sobre a vida e obra de Galileu Galilei \u2013 determina o recurso a\u0300 te\u0301cnica de ana\u0301lise de conteu\u0301do, em func\u0327a\u0303o de categorias definidas a priori, e aplicada a um corpus de ana\u0301lise constitui\u0301do por dez livros. A ana\u0301lise efetuada mostra que e\u0301 veiculada predominantemente uma visa\u0303o simplista da relac\u0327a\u0303o Cie\u0302ncia-Religia\u0303o, reforc\u0327ando um posicionamento popular de conflito permanente. Revela-se importante refletir sobre a pertine\u0302ncia da explorac\u0327a\u0303o da relac\u0327a\u0303o Cie\u0302ncia-Religia\u0303o nestes livros, considerando na\u0303o so\u0301 a relac\u0327a\u0303o entre a sua complexidade e o ni\u0301vel eta\u0301rio e os conhecimentos dos destinata\u0301rios mas tambe\u0301m a necessidade de evitar veicular viso\u0303es deformadas. It has put in evidence how the borders between these two spheres have been changing throughout time, and has stated the importance of the historical contexts to understand the interplay between them. Indeed, neglecting these historical contexts increases the risk of creating artificialism or anachronism. The relation between Galileo and the Catholic Church is, among others, an exemplary case. In this case, and because this relation is approached in children and youth\u2019s literature, it is important to reflect on how these books induce a vision of the relation Science-Religion. The aim of the study \u2013 to identify the type of relation Science-Religion covered in children and youth\u2019s books published in Portugal about the life and work of Galileo Galilei \u2013 implies the use of a content analysis technique, in which a priori categories were defined and employed in a corpus of analysis composed by ten books. Data analysis shows that the books often cover a simplistic vision of the relation Science-Religion, which reinforce the popular perspective of permanent conflict. It is important to reflect on the relevance of exploring the relation Science-Religion in this type of books. This requires to have in consideration not only the complexity of the relations, the age and knowledge of the readers, but also the need to avoid covering deformed visions.
