Ciencia Ens."],"abstract":"<jats:p>Resumo A cie\u0302ncia no tempo e no espac\u0327o \u2013 um projeto interdisciplinar foi desenvolvido ao longo de quatro anos com estudantes da licenciatura em Educac\u0327a\u0303o Ba\u0301sica, futuros professores do 1o e 2o Ciclo do Ensino Ba\u0301sico e educadores da Educac\u0327a\u0303o Pre\u0301-Escolar. Para a sua implementac\u0327a\u0303o foi desenhada uma proposta dida\u0301tica que assentou nos seguintes pressupostos: que a cie\u0302ncia resulta de um processo social e, como tal, e\u0301 tambe\u0301m uma manifestac\u0327a\u0303o cultural, com relac\u0327o\u0303es de interdepende\u0302ncia com a realidade politica, social, econo\u0301mica e cultural; que o me\u0301todo biogra\u0301fico, enquanto recurso dida\u0301tico, possibilita o conhecimento das trajeto\u0301rias individuais de homens e mulheres da cie\u0302ncia que, interagindo com o meio, contribui\u0301ram para o avanc\u0327o cienti\u0301fico; e que a abordagem interdisciplinar do conhecimento, a partir da Histo\u0301ria da Cie\u0302ncia, permite uma imagem historicamente mais realista da descoberta cienti\u0301fica. No a\u0302mbito dessa proposta dida\u0301tica, os estudantes foram desafiados a desenvolver um trabalho de investigac\u0327a\u0303o em torno de uma personalidade portuguesa de releva\u0302ncia cienti\u0301fica, segundo tre\u0302s eixos \u2013 o contexto poli\u0301tico, social e cultural, nacional e internacional, da e\u0301poca em que viveu; a sua biografia; e os contributos que deu para o avanc\u0327o cienti\u0301fico na a\u0301rea em que se distinguiu. Conclui\u0301do este trabalho, os estudantes realizaram reflexo\u0303es individuais sobre as percepc\u0327o\u0303es que construi\u0301ram. Em cada um dos quatro anos fizemos uma avaliac\u0327a\u0303o das metodologias utilizadas a partir das nossas percec\u0327o\u0303es e dos elementos produzidos pelos estudantes. No final do projeto a ana\u0301lise da distribuic\u0327a\u0303o temporal e cienti\u0301fica dos 40 cientistas estudados e dos documentos produzidos permitiu-nos verificar, num primeiro ni\u0301vel, a adequac\u0327a\u0303o das metodologias definidas aos objetivos do projeto e, num segundo ni\u0301vel, que os estudantes se sentiram motivados para conhecer conceitos de cie\u0302ncia e construi\u0301ram uma imagem mental da evoluc\u0327a\u0303o de conteu\u0301dos e contextos, reconhecendo a importa\u0302ncia da Histo\u0301ria da Cie\u0302ncia na abordagem de conteu\u0301dos no Ensino Ba\u0301sico.Palavras-chave: Histo\u0301ria da Cie\u0302ncia, biografia, formac\u0327a\u0303o de professoresAbstract Science in Time and Space \u2013 an interdisciplinary project was developed over four years with undergraduate students in Basic Education, future primary teachers and preschool educators. For its implementation a didactic proposal was designed based on the following theoretical assumptions: that science results from a social process and, as such, it is also a cultural manifestation, with relations of interdependence with political, social, economic and cultural reality; that the biographical method as didactic resource enables the knowledge of the individual trajectories of men and women of science who, interacting with the environment, contributed to the scientific advance; and that the interdisciplinary approach of knowledge, from Science History, allows a historically more realistic image of the scientific discovery. In the context of this didactic proposal, students were challenged to choose a Portuguese personality of scientific relevance and to develop a research work around three axes \u2013 the political, social and cultural context, national and international, of the time in which he lived; his biography; and the contributions he gave to scientific advancement in the area in which he distinguished himself. This work concluded, the students made individual reflections on the perceptions they built. In each of the four years we assessed the methodologies used from our perceptions\u00a0and the elements produced by the students.
