Methods Appl. Math."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2009]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract<\/jats:title><jats:p>This work presents a defect correction\nmethod with increased time accuracy. The desired time accuracy is attained with\nno extra computational cost. The method is applied to the evolutionary transport\nproblem, and is proven to be unconditionally stable. In the defect step, the artificial\nviscosity parameter is added to the Peclet number as a stability factor, and the system is\nantidiffused in the correction step.
