Math."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2011]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract<\/jats:title><jats:p> In the present paper we analyze linear finite elements on a layer adapted mesh for a \n\t\t\tboundary value problem characterized by the overlapping of a boundary layer with a \n\t\t\tsingularity. Moreover, we compare this approach numerically with the use of adapted basis \n\t\t\tfunctions, in our case modified Bessel functions.
