Drawing on texts selected through a scoping review, this article aims to examine the emerging dynamics in the governance of education, with a particular focus on the new actors operating within the field. From the analysis conducted, three categories emerged, enabling an initial mapping of the relevant theoretical and analytical dimensions: the rise of digital education governance networks, their objectives and procedures; the discursive strategies employed by international organisations and private technology companies to legitimate their actions within the educational domain; and the role played by nation-states in these new modes of governance. In the concluding section, we reflect critically on the findings, particularly in terms of what is “new” within the evolving forms of digital governance in education.
[[2026,3,18
["Os novos atores na governação digital da educação: Instrumentos, estratégias e discursos","The new actors in digital education governance: Instruments, strategies, and discourses
[[2025,12,31
Educação, Sociedade & Culturas
[[2026,3,18
[[2025,12,31
[[2025,12,31
["2184-8408","0872-7643
[[2025,12,31]]}}}
