{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,6,25]],"date-time":"2026-06-25T23:58:35Z","timestamp":1782431915487,"version":"3.54.5"},"publisher-location":"California","reference-count":0,"publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence Organization","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2017,8]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>We present and evaluate a new compiler, called d4, targeting the Decision-DNNF language.\n\nAs the state-of-the-art compilers C2D and Dsharp targeting the same language, \n\nd4 is a top-down tree-search algorithm exploring the space of propositional \n\ninterpretations. d4 is based on the same ingredients as those considered in C2D and Dsharp \n\n(mainly, disjoint component analysis, conflict analysis and non-chronological backtracking, component caching).\n\nd4 takes advantage of a dynamic decomposition approach based on hypergraph partitioning, used sparingly.\n\nSome simplification rules are also used to minimize the time spent in the partitioning steps and to promote the \n\nquality of the decompositions.
