Fis."],"abstract":"<jats:p>A configura\u00e7\u00e3o geol\u00f3gica do Litoral Sul de Pernambuco, bem como suas formas de relevo, decorre em grande parte do magmatismo ocorrido no Cret\u00e1ceo, lhe conferindo uma paisagem bastante distinta das demais \u00e1reas do litoral do Estado. A diversidade geol\u00f3gica e suas principais ocorr\u00eancias est\u00e3o diretamente relacionadas com a \u00faltima etapa de fragmenta\u00e7\u00e3o do antigo continente Gondwana que resultou na forma\u00e7\u00e3o dos continentes Africano e Sul-americano. Na regi\u00e3o afloram rochas da Bacia Sedimentar de Pernambuco, rochas \u00edgneas vulc\u00e2nicas e plut\u00f4nicas associadas ao magmatismo do Cret\u00e1ceo e rochas neoproterz\u00f3icas do embasamento cristalino. O trabalho compreende um estudo de caso, onde foram selecionados 13 geoss\u00edtios, atrav\u00e9s da metodologia de abordagem qualitativa, tendo como objetivo inicial a descri\u00e7\u00e3o, classifica\u00e7\u00e3o e valora\u00e7\u00e3o deste patrim\u00f4nio geol\u00f3gico, resultando em um invent\u00e1rio do patrim\u00f4nio geol\u00f3gico dessa regi\u00e3o. Trata-se de uma pesquisa classificada como explorat\u00f3ria e explicativa, onde os resultados foram obtidos atrav\u00e9s de trabalho de campo e pesquisa bibliogr\u00e1fica interdisciplinar, relativa tanto aos elementos das Geoci\u00eancias como das Ci\u00eancias Sociais, bem como an\u00e1lise qualitativa dos s\u00edtios. Diante dos resultados obtidos constatou-se a grande relev\u00e2ncia dessa \u00e1rea n\u00e3o s\u00f3 do ponto de vista geol\u00f3gico, mas a todos os valores naturais e socioculturais a ela agregados. Esta conclus\u00e3o abre precedentes para uma segunda etapa de pesquisas, que compreender\u00e1 a elabora\u00e7\u00e3o de um diagn\u00f3stico mais completo acerca da relev\u00e2ncia e vulnerabilidade destes s\u00edtios para que sejam futuramente estruturadas estrat\u00e9gias de geoconserva\u00e7\u00e3o e desenvolvimento local, utilizando como principais ferramentas a populariza\u00e7\u00e3o das Geoci\u00eancias e o fortalecimento do geoturismo na regi\u00e3o.\u00a0\u00a0A B S T R A C TThe geological setting of the southern coast of Pernambuco, as well as its landforms, stems largely from the Cretaceous felsic which provides a very different landscape from the remaining areas of Pernambuco\u2019s coast. Geological diversity and its main occurrences are directly related to the last fragmentation step of the ancient continent Gondwana, which resulted the formation of the African and South American continents. In the region arise sedimentary rocks from the local Sedimentary Basin, volcanic and plutonic igneous rocks associated with Cretaceous felsic, and neoproterozoic rocks from the crystalline. This work comprises a case study, where 13 geosites were selected through a qualitative approach, with the initial goal of description, classification and valuation of their geological patrimony, resulting in an inventory of the geological heritage of the region. It comprises an exploratory and explanatory research, where the results were obtained through fieldwork and interdisciplinary bibliographical research on both Earth and Social Sciences. Eventually, it was noticed the importance of the area, not only from the geological point of view, but also from the natural and social-cultural perspective.
