In this paper, we give<\/jats:p><jats:p>formal representations of some typical requirement classes arising in the<\/jats:p><jats:p>automotive industry. We divide these patterns into three main classes:<\/jats:p><jats:p>those mostly referring to properties of continuous signals, those mostly<\/jats:p><jats:p>referring to discrete events and those referring to similarity to a reference<\/jats:p><jats:p>signal.
