Anhand von Ralf Zwiebels Modell der psychoanalytischer Filminterpretation, die in engem theoretischen Bezug zu W.R. Bion steht, soll der Film als »ungeträumter Traum des Zuschauers« (Zwiebel, 2019, S. 131) verstanden werden. Mit dieser Grundannahme wird der Film Gegen den Strom als Möglichkeit interpretiert, klimapolitisch »ins Handeln zu kommen«. Benedikt Erlingssons Erfahrungen als Klimaaktivist und Künstler sind im Film kreativ miteinander verschmolzen und eröffnen eine persönliche Transformation. This paper includes a brief theoretical introduction to understanding psychoanalytic film viewing, a scenic viewing of the Icelandic feature film »Woman at War« (2018) by Benedict Erlingsson and personal impressions of the reception of the film. Based on Ralf Zwiebel’s model of psychoanalytic film interpretation, which is closely theoretically related to W.R. Bion, the film is to be understood as an »undreamed dream of the viewer« (Zwiebel 2019). With this basic assumption, the film »Woman at War« is interpreted as a possibility to »take action« in climate policy.
