{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2025,9,17]],"date-time":"2025-09-17T16:04:55Z","timestamp":1758125095879},"reference-count":13,"publisher":"Wiley","issue":"5","license":[{"start":{"date-parts":[[2011,1,12]],"date-time":"2011-01-12T00:00:00Z","timestamp":1294790400000},"content-version":"vor","delay-in-days":12795,"URL":"http:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/termsAndConditions#vor"}],"content-domain":{"domain":["obgyn.onlinelibrary.wiley.com"],"crossmark-restriction":true},"short-container-title":["Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1976,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:p><jats:bold>Abstract. <\/jats:bold> 474 women in mid\u2010pregnancy, interviewed at ten different hospitals in Sweden, were questioned on a number of social and medical items: e.g., drug use, contraceptive technique used before pregnancy, exposure to possibly deleterious factors in the environment. the study, compared with a similar study made ten years earlier in Sweden, showed little or no difference in the use of iron and\/or vitamin preparations, analgesic drugs, antibiotics, or endocrine drugs; but a drastic reduction is noted in the use of psychotropic drugs and of antihistaminic drugs. A marked decrease in frequency of first trimester X\u2010ray exposures can be found, but no marked changes in smoking habits. Appr. 18% of the women used contraceptive pills within 6 months of becoming pregnant\u20143 had used them during early pregnancy.
