At present, some of the main functions of the libraries of Higher Education Institutions are to support students in their learning and research activities. Because libraries play an active role in the educational process, librarians need to devise training plans to meet their target audience, set goals, and devise strategies to measure the efficiency and quality of services provided. In order to ascertain the perception of these information professionals in Engineering Schools in Portugal, we conducted a survey by questionnaire.
