B. 3D-Modelle der Architektur. Das von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft seit Februar 2006 als Leistungszentrum f\u00fcr Forschungsinformation gef\u00f6rderte Projekt PROBADO (Prototypischer Betrieballgemeiner Dokumente; www.probado.de) entwickelt Verfahren f\u00fcr die automatische Erschlie\u00dfung,Verf\u00fcgbarkeit, Recherche und Bereitstellung dieser Medientypen. Die Technische Informationsbibliothek Hannover (TIB) als zentrale Fachbibliothek f\u00fcr Technik sowie Architektur, Chemie, Informatik, Mathematik und Physik  erweitert mit PROBADO ihr Dienstleistungsangebot f\u00fcr Architekten und Ingenieure. Neben der TIB sind die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek M\u00fcnchen (BSB) und drei Informatiklehrst\u00fchle der Universit\u00e4ten Bonn, Graz und Darmstadt Projektpartner. \nDigital libraries find themselves confronted with new challenges as reflected in the quantitative increase of relevant information and the qualitative change of available information through new, non-textual media formats, such as 3D models of architecture. A project titled PROBADO (Prototypical Operation of CommonDocuments) which is based at the Center for Scientific Library Services and Information Systems and funded by the German Research Society since February 2006, has developed a procedure for automated indexing, storage, searching and retrieval of such types of media. The Technical Information Library of Hannover (TIB), as the main special library for technology, as well as for architecture, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics, is using PROBADO to expand its services for architects and engineers.
