U-Photo Mobile is designed and implemented to be executed on smart phones e.g. Apple's iPhone. Users shoot the ubiquitous services attached with a two-dimensional bar-code. The u-Photo Mobile system decodes the ID and finds functions of the service. The touch screen of u-Photo Mobile lets users check and control the service. The operation of ubiquitous services are realized by making a network connection between u-Photo Mobile and the services. With this intuitive method, the users can interact with ubiquitous service through the metaphor of “taking and tapping a photograph.” The u-Photo provides users with an instinctive technique, which realizes a seamless interaction between user's mobile phones and intelligent environments.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/978-1-60750-034-6-327","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,19]],"date-time":"2025-02-19T18:02:07Z","timestamp":1739988127000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["u-Photo Mobile: Interacting with Smart Environments via Clickable Photos on Mobile Phones"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"family":"Aoki Soko","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"family":"Ito Masaki","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"family":"Yura Junichi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"family":"Nakazawa Jin","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"family":"Takashio Kazunori","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"family":"Tokuda Hideyuki","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments","Intelligent Environments 2009"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,19]],"date-time":"2025-02-19T18:21:47Z","timestamp":1739989307000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.medra.org\/servlet\/aliasResolver?alias=iospressISSNISBN&issn=1875-4163&volume=2&spage=327"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2009]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/978-1-60750-034-6-327","relation":{},"ISSN":["1875-4163"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1875-4163","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2009]]}}}
