We employed the Open Medical Development Framework (OMDF) based on a model driven development methodology. OMDF provides model transformation features to build an HL7-based information model that covers the conceptual scope of a target project. The resulting IMO is used to mediate between ontologically queries and information retrieval from semantically less defined Hospital Information Systems (HIS). In the context of the DebugIT project - which scope corresponds to the control of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistances – Information Model Ontology is integrated to the DebugIT domain ontology in order to express queries.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/978-1-60750-588-4-912","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,21]],"date-time":"2025-02-21T18:09:19Z","timestamp":1740161359000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Ensuring HL7-based information model requirements within an ontology framework"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"family":"Ouagne David","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Nadah Nadia","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Schober Daniel","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Choquet Rémy","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Teodoro Douglas","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Colaert Dirk","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Schulz Stefan","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Jaulent Marie-Christine","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Daniel Christel","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","MEDINFO 2010"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,21]],"date-time":"2025-02-21T18:26:30Z","timestamp":1740162390000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.medra.org\/servlet\/aliasResolver?alias=iospressISSNISBN&issn=0926-9630&volume=160&spage=912"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2010]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/978-1-60750-588-4-912","relation":{},"ISSN":["0926-9630"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0926-9630","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2010]]}}}
