Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) aim to benefit the clinical decision making process. Although most research shows overall improved performance with use, there is often a failure to recognize the new errors that CDSS can introduce, and as such the healthcare field has a gap in this research. This paper summarizes the methodology and preliminary results of a systematic review over a broad range of fields into the effects of over-reliance on automation.
