It requires that the medical resources of different hospitals be combined to ensure that medical information is shared and that resources are not wasted. A computer-based patient record is one of the best methods to accomplish the interchange of the patient's clinical data. In our system, the Health Level\/Seven (HL\/7) format is used for the interchange of the clinical data, as it has been supported by many healthcare providers and become a ‘standard’. The security of the interchange of clinical data is a serious issue for people using the Internet for data communication. Several international well-developed security algorithms, models and secure policies are adopted in the design of a security handler for an HL\/7 architecture. The goal of our system is to combine our security system with the end-toend communication systems constructed from the HL\/7 format to establish a safe delivery channel. A suitable security interchange environment is implemented to address some shortcomings in clinical data interchange.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/978-1-60750-928-8-1247","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,22]],"date-time":"2025-02-22T23:19:12Z","timestamp":1740266352000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Security Architecture for HL\/7 Message Interchange"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"family":"Chen T.S.","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Liao B.S.","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Lin M.G.","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Gough T.G.","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Studies in Health Technology and Informatics","MEDINFO 2001"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,22]],"date-time":"2025-02-22T23:40:06Z","timestamp":1740267606000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.medra.org\/servlet\/aliasResolver?alias=iospressISSNISBN&issn=0926-9630&volume=84&spage=1247"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2001]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/978-1-60750-928-8-1247","relation":{},"ISSN":["0926-9630"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0926-9630","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2001]]}}}
