In order to solve the first problem, we present an approach to automatic indexing in which medically plausible morphological units are used. Semantic value is added to these index terms by a compact domain-specific thesaurus. We further discuss tools for morphological segmentation and morphosemantic normalization of HTML documents, as well as an adaptation of a standard WWW search engine for morpheme-based retrieval.
