A rapidly growing number of LODs leads to new challenges for query processing. SPARQL-endpoint has been proposed to access LODs through SPARQL language, however, it requires a holistic understanding of the data when making a SPARQL query and supports a limited number of related LODs. To access distributed LODs, the LOD-federation is proposed. The LOD-federation is an abstract layer consisting a federated ontology and mechanisms for user query processing across LODs via the corresponding endpoints. In this study, a technical survey of recent works supporting for the LOD-federation building, is presented. An effective method of LOD ontology integration is suggested in order to build the federated ontology. Query decomposition algorithm is depicted to translate a query to the LOD-federation into subsequent LODs. Result integration method using co-reference entity and join operations, is also presented.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/978-1-61499-254-7-193","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,20]],"date-time":"2025-02-20T12:06:08Z","timestamp":1740053168000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["A Technical Survey for Linked Open Data Federation Building"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"family":"Nguyen Cuong Duc","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"family":"Duong Trong Hai","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications","Advanced Methods and Technologies for Agent and Multi-Agent Systems"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,20]],"date-time":"2025-02-20T12:17:06Z","timestamp":1740053826000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.medra.org\/servlet\/aliasResolver?alias=iospressISSNISBN&issn=0922-6389&volume=252&spage=193"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2013]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/978-1-61499-254-7-193","relation":{},"ISSN":["0922-6389"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0922-6389","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2013]]}}}
