In therapy planning environments, models provide the knowledge base to assist physicians in their decision making process and are typically at the heart of a networked information system. The topic of user interface design (UID) and specifically GUIs needs to be addressed in this context in a very creative manner, if the aim is to make complex models easier for the user to understand and to manage.
