Studies also show that social media have promising potentials in this area; however, the findings from our exploratory study suggested that there are yet many uncertainties and barriers perceived around the usefulness of using social media for healthcare decision making. The purpose of this study is to explore and unravel the barriers of using social media in the management of chronic disease.
