In this context understanding how to configure the global design and production network in order to realize a P-S solution and properly reconfigure the processes against rapidly changing of P-S requirements is a complex problem area. For this purpose new methods are necessary to deal with the complex, dynamic and transient nature of product-services and create a dynamic global network able to effectively manage the flexible design and production requirements demanded by the increasing business need for rapid P-S change. The research presents an industrial case study focusing on a manufacturing company facing the configuration of its production network in order to provide a new P-S idea and innovate its actual product portfolio. In particular, the study defines a methodology to elicit the P-S network configuration requirements and support the P-S introduction in a traditional manufacturing scenario. By using such a method the company is able to define a solution to plan and configure the required network in case of P-S production and organize the partners and the interactions among them.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3233\/978-1-61499-440-4-716","type":"book-chapter","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,19]],"date-time":"2025-02-19T17:19:26Z","timestamp":1739985566000},"source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Addressing Product-Service Manufacturing in Globalised Markets: an Industrial Case Study"],"prefix":"10.3233","author":[{"family":"Peruzzini Margherita","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]},{"family":"Marilungo Eugenia","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"7437","container-title":["Advances in Transdisciplinary Engineering","Moving Integrated Product Development to Service Clouds in the Global Economy"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,2,19]],"date-time":"2025-02-19T17:26:40Z","timestamp":1739986000000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.medra.org\/servlet\/aliasResolver?alias=iospressISSNISBN&issn=2352-751X&volume=1&spage=716"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2014]]},"references-count":0,"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.3233\/978-1-61499-440-4-716","relation":{},"ISSN":["2352-751X"],"issn-type":[{"value":"2352-751X","type":"print"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2014]]}}}
